ITB 4540 - Marine Drive Regional Trail

Description

Background

This project will close a gap in the  Marine Drive Regional Trail network.  The Marine Drive Trail is part of the 40-Mile Loop Trail system, planned to encircle the Portland area as a recreation trail for pedestrian, bicycle, and other non-motorized uses. 

This new trail segment will be located along NE Marine Drive, on the south side of the Columbia River levee, between NE 185th Drive and NE Interlachen Way. The work is within the cities of Portland and Gresham:

·         The City of Portland work is a short realignment of the existing trail to meet the new Gresham segment, as well as roadway/crossing improvements at NE 185^th Drive. When completed, this segment of the trail will be owned and maintained by the City of Portland.

·    The City of Gresham work is a new trail segment between NE 185th Drive and NE Interlachen Way, approximately 3,400 feet long. When completed, this segment of the trail will be owned and maintained by the City of Gresham.
