RFQ 4408 Rechargeable Battery Transportation and Disposal Services

Description

Metro is seeking to contract with a vendor to pick-up, transport, and recycle nickel cadmium/nickel metal hydride - NiCd/NiMH batteries.
•              NiCd batteries will be collected in separate containers from NiMH batteries.
•              All batteries will have their terminals isolated, regardless of voltage.
•              Batteries will be contained, and shipped in 55-gallon drums.
•              Batteries will be picked up from both of Metro’s HHW facilities – Metro South, 2001 Washington St, Oregon City, OR 97045 and Metro Central, 6161 NW 61st Ave, Portland, OR 97210. 
•              Vendor will provide certificates of recycling for all batteries
